Vicaima Group Solutions Elevate Castelo Suites Hotel

The recently opened Castelo Suites Hotel in the Algarve aims to be a new reference in the regional tourism scene. Offering around 146 rooms and suites, the development stands out for its combination of contemporary comfort, high-quality construction and a sustainable approach to hospitality. In this project, Globaldis, a company part of the Vicaima Group specialising in integrated solutions for construction and the brand’s exclusive distributor in Portugal, supplied and installed the various solutions used in the development, demonstrating its capacity to meet the demands of the hotel sector. 

Inspired by the harmony between contemporary elegance and local authenticity, the Castelo Suites is an urban retreat located in the Galé area, benefiting from a privileged location right by the Algarve coastline. The interior design concept, developed by Portuguese designer Nini Andrade Silva, enhances the sensory experience and the balance between comfort, aesthetics and environmental responsibility. The hotel also offers a variety of services, including restaurants, a spa, a rooftop swimming pool with panoramic views and modern meeting rooms, strengthening its suitability for both leisure and corporate events.

Among the solutions applied, several types of Portaro® a set consisting of a door, frame and accessories in a single piece, are worthy of note, offering fire-resistant performance, such as Portaro® EI60 and Portaro® EI30. Also rated for a 30-minute fire resistance, the Portaro® EI30 Double Action also contributes to greater movement fluidity in areas of high traffic.
To increase the building’s safety requirements, the project also included 60-minute fire-rated metal doors, which complement the passive protection measures, guaranteeing the adequate partitioning of the development’s common areas.

Additionally, the integration of the Portaro® Acoustic AC40dB provides the necessary quiet and tranquillity to bedrooms and more private areas, ensuring a high level of acoustic comfort, while the Portaro® Pivotal reinforces the elegant and sophisticated ambiance that pervades the entire development.
Particular attention was paid to visual harmony at the Castelo Suites Hotel. The choice of the wardrobe doors from the Transform line from the Vicaima Wardrobe® range, offering a fully customised concept, and the matching customised panels, embraces each element of the different spaces in a unique, totally homogeneous and singular identity.

Aligned with the interior design vision defined for the Castelo Suites Hotel, the project incorporates Vicaima Infinity, which is a creative approach enabling the development of exclusive patterns applied to doors, panels, and wardrobes that confer a unique character to the spaces. Through a specially developed wood pattern, this distinctive visual language reinforces the aesthetic harmony of the development and supports the creation of unique and compelling environments.

As regards flooring, different Vicfloor® solutions from Globaldis were integrated according to the specific needs of each area. For interior spaces, the 5mm XL 703 American Oak SPC vinyl flooring ensures robustness, dimensional stability and consistent performance, with large strips that enhance visual continuity and provide a realistic and contemporary finish. For exterior areas near the pool, Bamboo Caramel Deck is a sustainable and visually distinctive option, designed to offer solidity, durability and an architectural expression which emphasises outdoor settings.
