“There’s definitely been a resurgence of chrome and silver tones recently, which is interesting considering the wider shift towards earthy, grounded interiors. Chrome offers a sleek, contemporary edge, but it can sometimes feel colder or more industrial. Nickel, on the other hand, is a softer alternative – warmer than chrome but still more understated than brass.
“That said, I still believe brass remains the most timeless and versatile choice. It works equally well in a classic country kitchen as it does in a modern bathroom. It complements natural materials like stone and timber beautifully, and it sits comfortably within both traditional and contemporary design schemes.
“In my view, brass and bronze have an enduring quality that transcends trends. They’re finishes that will always evolve with the home – never static, never sterile. Chrome might have its moment, but brass will always feel authentic, elegant and here to stay.”
