Helix Electric Marks 40 Years With Goodyear Showcase and Philanthropy Kickoff

Helix Electric Inc. marked its 40th anniversary with an open house at the company’s Goodyear facility on Dec. 4, bringing together employees partners and community members for tours and a look inside the operation that has become central to Helix’s national growth.

Opened in 2021, the Goodyear location manufactures prefabricated electrical components designed to improve jobsite efficiency and safety across Helix projects nationwide. The office also oversees Arizona work, including an expansion at Banner Health Verrado Clinic, ASM’s Scottsdale headquarters, the CAVCO modular home facility in El Mirage and the San Luis hospital.

“Arizona has become a cornerstone of our national growth strategy and our Goodyear team exemplifies the dedication and expertise that have driven Helix’s success for four decades,” says Boris Shekhter, CEO of Helix Electric Inc. “When we prefabricate components in a controlled environment and deploy to jobs nationwide we’re not just improving efficiency we’re setting new standards for the entire industry.”

The open house also marked the start of Helix’s yearlong philanthropic initiative tied to its anniversary. Employees across the country will participate in 40 philanthropy events throughout 2026 under the banner “40 Years with 40 Philanthropy Events.”

Helix’s Arizona team launched the effort with a 5K Walk to End Alzheimer’s on November 8, supporting research and awareness around Alzheimer’s disease.

“Our Arizona team understands that building strong communities goes hand in hand with building great projects,” says Jon Varner, Operations Manager at Helix Electric. “The enthusiasm our Goodyear employees showed for the Alzheimer’s walk reflects the spirit of service that makes Helix more than a workplace we’re a community that looks out for each other and our neighbors.”

Additional philanthropy events are planned across the Valley throughout the year with the goal of supporting local nonprofits and creating lasting community impact. The initiative is led by Helix’s Helping Hands, the company’s employee-driven giving group.
