M Resort Spa Casino Opens New East Tower After Expansion

M Resort Spa Casino, the Official Team Headquarters Hotel of the Las Vegas Raiders, celebrated a transformative moment in its history last week as leaders, dignitaries, VIP guests, and media gathered for a spectacular grand opening of the resort’s expansion and officially welcomed the new East Tower to the Las Vegas skyline. Designed with sustainability in mind, the new East Tower is LEED Certified, underscoring M Resort’s commitment to environmental responsibility as it continues to grow. The evening blended elegance, community pride, and live entertainment—culminating in a milestone event for the Henderson resort. The celebration, held on December 3, 2025, showcased the expansion’s impact on the property, nearly doubling its room inventory and elevating the guest experience with 375 new guest rooms, expanded convention space, and enhancements to the casino floor.

 

Ribbon Cutting & Remarks: A Landmark Moment for Henderson’s Growth

Festivities began just outside the lobby of the new East Tower, where the packed crowd gathered for official remarks. The ceremony featured speakers including:

  • Hussain Mahrous, Vice President & General Manager, M Resort Spa Casino
  • Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero
  • Jay Snowden, CEO & President, PENN Entertainment
  • Todd George, Executive Vice President of Operations, PENN Entertainment

Local television personality Jillian Lopez of Las Vegas Now on 8NewsNow emceed the event, welcoming attendees and guiding the program. In his remarks, Hussain Mahrous emphasized the significance of the moment for both the resort and the region: “This grand opening is a defining moment for M Resort and the community we’re proud to serve,” said Mahrous. “Our expansion represents a commitment to creating experiences that celebrate both innovation and the spirit of Henderson. We not only unveiled a new tower—we marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the guests and neighbors who make this community extraordinary.”

Additionally, Mahrous shared news of 120 new jobs were created at M Resort with the opening of the East Tower and celebrated the 150 day one employees who have been with the Henderson property for more than 15 years.  Following the speeches, leadership joined Mayor Romero in cutting the ceremonial ribbon, officially declaring the East Tower open and symbolizing the continued evolution of the resort’s place within the Henderson community.

VIP & Media Celebration at PATIO

Immediately after the ribbon cutting, invited VIP guests and media were escorted to PATIO, M Resort’s unique outdoor venue, for a celebratory cocktail hour. Guests were welcomed by an impressive ice sculpture of the new hotel and enjoyed specialty cocktails, chef-curated bites, and an early preview of the evening’s entertainment set against the East Tower’s illuminated exterior.

Fireworks Lights Up the Sky

Attendees gathered outdoors as fireworks lit up the evening sky to mark the debut of the East Tower.  The celebration continued with a high-energy live performance by Jefferson Starship, the evening’s special musical guests. Their iconic rock hits like “We Built This City” and “Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now” electrified the crowd while creating an unforgettable finale as they ushered in a new era for M Resort. Guests finished the night with a festive showing of the film “Elf” on M Resort’s new giant 800-square-foot outdoor LED screen.
