Laing O’Rourke has announced the appointment of Wayne Davies as chief people officer.
From 12 January, Davis will lead Laing O’Rourke’s global people strategy, working in collaboration with the company’s leadership and people teams.
Davis’ career spans manufacturing, aviation, healthcare, infrastructure, energy distribution, transportation and financial services.
Having held HR leadership roles over a 15-year period with General Electric, he also led the HR function for airline Emirates, as well as a Middle Eastern construction gigaproject.
More recently, Davis was chief human resources officer at a private equity-backed services business.
Cathal O’Rourke, group CEO of Laing O’Rourke, said: “I am excited for Wayne to join our business and the Group Executive Committee. He brings an outstanding track record leading people functions across complex, international organisations.
