In response to contractor requests for a heavier-bodied trowel-applied mastic, Inland Coatings recently introduced RC-2500 medium-grade fiber-reinforced SEBS mastic, which can be trowel or brush applied to roofing seams, flashings, and penetrations where thicker build is required. According to product manager, Zak Schneider, “With RC-2500, contractors can easily achieve the desired film thickness in one coat with the convenient, hassle-free application method they prefer. This solvent-based mastic also has exceptional flexibility and elongation properties, enabling it to perform in environments where there are wide temperature swings.”
This rubber-based mastic is currently available in white, packaged in 1-gallon, 3-gallon, and 5-gallon gray metal pails. Black and gray versions of RC-2500 mastic are expected to roll out in the first quarter of 2026. This versatile mastic can be used on a wide range of substrates including metal, EPDM, aged TPO, aged Hypalon, concrete, BUR (asphalt), modified bitumen, and polyurethane spray foam roofing.
