National Career Month: Mitsubishi Builds Tomorrow’s Workforce

This National Career Development Month, Mitsubishi Electric United States (MEUS) is spotlighting how it’s tackling the manufacturing skills gap – from local innovation in Boston to national workforce initiatives.

At its Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs (MERL), MEUS brings in about 100 college interns each year, giving students hands-on experience in AI, robotics, and advanced manufacturing while fueling research innovation and career readiness.

On a national level, the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF) expands this impact through its Access to Careers in Technology and the Trades initiative, which is helping youth with disabilities find pathways into high-demand tech, manufacturing, and trade careers.

Together, MEUS, MERL and MEAF are shaping a more inclusive, skilled workforce ready to power the next era of American manufacturing.
