Lidl is selling the Black+Decker 12L Smart Dehumidifier for under £80 in its middle aisle, and I doubt it will stick around for very long.
As someone who writes about the best dehumidifiers for a living, I know just how expensive they can get, and I’ve never come across this model so cheap before. In fact, after doing a little digging, I discovered that it’s actually £33 cheaper than on Amazon!
Capable of collecting up to 12L of water a day with four different settings (auto, continuous, dry clothes faster, and ventilation), this is an excellent piece of kit to have in your home. It can help tackle problems like damp, mould and condensation at the root cause, while also being a cheaper alternative to a tumble dryer.

This budget-friendly dehumidifier can collect up to 12L of water per day and can be controlled via your smart devices.
ELECCI 12L/Day Dehumidifier
Featuring smart controls and a portable design, this dehumidifier won’t break the bank.
After taking a deeper dive into the specs, the Black+Decker 12L Smart Dehumidifier is an absolute bargain.
One of my favourite features is the LED display, which shows the current humidity and lets you set your desired level between 30% and 80%. It can also be connected to the Black+Decker Home App, allowing you to control the dehumidifier via your phone, Amazon Alexa, or Google Home smart device.
The 2.1L water tank is a decent size, and you won’t need to worry about it overflowing, as the unit automatically shuts off when it gets too full. It also features built-in frost protection to prevent the dehumidifier freezing, as well as a child lock and a 24-hour timer shut-off for safety.
Winter energy costs have soared this year, so I was pleased to see that this unit only costs 9p per day to run (based on an electricity rate of £0.34 per kWh). So, if you’re tired of paying extortionate rates to dry your laundry in the tumble dryer, this dehumidifier could save the day and help you cut back. Yes, it will take much longer, but it will slash your bills.
Sometimes I’m skeptical when deals are this cheap, but I was reassured to see that this device comes with a two-year warranty, with a 4.1 star rating on Amazon.
If you’re not local to a Lidl (or don’t fancy leaving your house in these freezing temperatures), the ELECCI 12L/Day Dehumidifier is a great alternative and is available for next-day delivery on Amazon Prime.
Just like the Black+Decker model, it can collect 12L of water per day and offers four settings: Standard (manually set your desired humidity level), Raining (maintains RH45%), Drying (continuously dries your room), and Sleep (operates at less than 45dB with RH50%).
There’s an LED display so you can monitor whether the humidity levels are normal, a timer setting feature, and it automatically shuts down when the tank is full. As you can see, there are a lot of similarities between these units, and the ELECCI model also costs under £80, making it very affordable for what you’re getting.
Lidl’s middle aisle deals don’t tend to stick around for long – usually up to seven days or until stock sells out – so I wouldn’t wait too long before jumping on this one. However, if you do miss it, the ELECCI unit is an excellent alternative, with the added benefit of free next-day delivery for Prime members.
