Retrofit of City’s Pinners Hall gets approval

The City of London Corporation has granted planning permission to revamp 108 Old Broad Street into 11,000 sq m of office space.

German real estate investor and developer Patrizia said it will convert the 1990s building, formerly known as Pinners Hall, into a “highly sustainable office destination” that will increase net lettable space by around 15%.

The scheme by architect Stiff + Trevillion includes new upper-level extensions, with a seventh-floor pavilion and a landscaped terrace; an amenities upgrade; and a fully electric services strategy targeting EPC A, BREEAM Excellent and WiredScore Gold.

Construction is expected to begin in early 2026 for completion in the second quarter of 2027.

Patrizia is behind other significant office transformations across Europe, including the Cleveland Clinic’s new cancer treatment centre in 40 Grosvenor Place in Belgravia, and The Louise in Brussels, home to several international law firms.
