The Arizona Builders Alliance (ABA), an association for contractors in Arizona, is calling on community members to join them in making a difference in the lives of thousands of children in need this holiday season. Building on the success of last year’s drive, which raised over $40,000 and donated toys to over 3,000 children, the ABA’s Annual Toy Drive has begun collecting toys and monetary donations for nonprofit organizations serving children across the state.
The ABA will be providing gifts for all the children at Sunshine Acres Children’s Home, Arizona Sunshine Angels, Santo Niño Catholic Community, Sequoia Charter School, Agape Adoption Agency of Arizona, The Foster Alliance, as well as Tucson-based Arizona Baptist Children’s Services. Offering a range of support, these organizations ensure basic needs aid, recreational opportunities, permanency assistance, advocacy efforts, and legal representation for children who experienced family separation or abuse and neglect.
“Our construction community proves year after year that we build more than projects. We build pathways to hope,” said Kim Davids, President of the Arizona Builders Alliance. “Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, volunteers, and members, we’re able to ensure the children experience the magic of the holiday season. We encourage everyone to participate and help expand our impact this year.”
Over 100 Valley construction companies will team up with ABA to make the long-running toy drive a success by urging employees to donate a toy or make a monetary donation by December 8th. ABA members McCarthy, Big-D, Kitchell, Rosendin, DP Electric, IMCOR, Sundt, Kortman Inc., and Rural Electric will also be sponsoring holiday gifts for children from Sequoia Charter School and Sunshine Acres Children’s Home.

In addition, volunteers will gather to wrap and deliver thousands of toys and participate in various activities to support the effort from December 12th to 17th. Activities include inviting foster families to select gifts from a diverse array of toys for their children, organizing toy drop-offs, and a festive party complete with games, holiday music, treats, and a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus to receive their wrapped gifts.
“When kids open these gifts, they’re not just getting toys– they’re feeling the love of a community behind them. I’ve witnessed firsthand how these moments create lasting memories for kids who’ve faced unimaginable challenges,” said Veronica Davis, GCON and ABA Community Service Chair. “Through this toy drive, our community unites to build a brighter future, demonstrating that together, we can create hope, one gift at a time.”
There are multiple drop sites taking donations across the Valley and one in Tucson. All contributions are tax-deductible, and the public is welcome to make monetary donations through the ABA’s Toy Drive website at https://azbuilders.org/events/2025-toy-drive/, or by calling 602-274-8222.
