“It’s a privilege to be working with the Ocean Skin and Vein Institute to construct a state-of-the art building that will allow their team to perform transformative work,” said Bill Wilhelm, president of R.D. Olson Construction. “We have a robust portfolio of medical office buildings across California and will ensure this clinic will be constructed so that staff can provide optimal treatment.”
R.D. Olson Construction will demolish a former limousine facility to pave the way for the construction of the new structure. The podium building incorporates a concrete deck, serving as the base of the structure and for the parking platform. The upper two levels are a combination of steel and wood framing, allowing for durability and cost-efficiency.
A key feature of the medical office building will be the glass elevator shaft which can be seen through the lobby; R.D. Olson Construction will use structural glass panels with steel framing to create a minimal, yet elegant centerpiece. The firm will also build a main stairway, providing seamless access to all parts of the building. Throughout the facility, R.D. Olson Construction will incorporate LED and layered lighting and luxury finishes that embody the location’s seaside environment and high-quality care.
On the first floor, a lobby and seating area will provide a boutique-hospitality feel with flooring and walls with stone, wood veneer and glass. These materials will also be found in the rentable medical office suites.
The second floor will feature the primary services of the clinic alongside administrative offices. The entire space will feature renowned services from medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology; a vein clinic; IV drip and wellness shots, wound care, hair restoration and more.
The Ocean Skin + Vein Institute Manhattan Beach clinic will be located at 1101 N Sepulveda Blvd #100, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. It is expected to be completed by Fall 2026.
R.D. Olson Construction has a robust portfolio of medical office buildings and wellness destinations. The general contractor was also responsible for the Clearwater at Glendora Assisted Living Facility, Atria Senior Living, Glen Ivy Spas and more.
