McShane Completes Build-to-Suit Facility for Schuetz Container Systems

McShane Construction Company has delivered a new build-to-suit manufacturing and distribution facility for Schuetz Container Systems in Kenosha, Wisconsin—marking another milestone in the company’s growing industrial portfolio.

The 372,000-square-foot facility was designed and built to meet the operational needs of Schuetz, a leading global manufacturer of industrial packaging and part of the Germany-based Schütz Group. Positioned on a 25-acre site, the precast structure features a 40-foot clear height, 48 truck docks, four drive-in doors, 245 trailer parking spaces and six 4,000-amp power services—providing robust infrastructure for large-scale production and distribution.

Inside, the facility includes a two-story, 14,000-square-foot office, mezzanines throughout the manufacturing area, and four interior cranes to support equipment installation and material handling. McShane also extended the site’s rail infrastructure, adding three new rail lines to enhance logistics capabilities.

“We’re pleased to introduce this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to Kenosha,” says Tom Beres, Regional VP – Industrial at McShane. “We are confident that the scale, design and functionality of this project will widely benefit Schuetz Container Systems.”

Delivered under a design-build approach, McShane collaborated closely with Schuetz and Harris Architects to ensure the facility met the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency—setting a strong foundation for the company’s continued growth in the region.
