Kirei, a provider of sustainable acoustic design materials, is proud to announce the launch of its EchoSky Neu Baffle System. With EchoSky Neu, Kirei reimagined its trusted EchoSky baffle system to do more with less, replacing metal frameworks with lightweight PET crossbars. This new and improved system reduces weight, simplifies handling, and lowers the number of required hanging points, ultimately streamlining installation.
Inspired by modern architecture and heat sinks, the complex geometry of EchoSky Neu is meant to minimize unwanted echoes in any space. EchoSky Neu is available in three standard profiles—Linear, Steppe, and Tide—which allow multiple configurations and varied ceiling designs. Each unit measures 72” by 36”, enabling designers to create large-scale installations and sculptural ceilings, reshaping interiors and transforming the fifth wall into a space with design at the forefront. From color and print to size and profile, designers can customize every detail while benefiting from a simple and reliable installation.
“The ceiling is both an opportunity to drastically improve the acoustics of a space and to create something truly sculptural and unique. We know architects and designers want to push the boundary of the ceiling more than ever before, but are confronted with time and budget constraints that hold them back,” said Michael DiTullo, Head of Product Innovation for Carnegie Acoustic Solutions. “With EchoSky Neu, we designed a complete system that allows designers to create truly iconic ceilings easily and quickly, while knowing that Kirei has done the work to make sure it installs correctly. Whether designers choose from one of three predesigned fin shapes, one of three predesigned installation patterns in 30+ colors and 50+ printed patterns, mix and match to create their own pattern, or go all the way and design their own custom fin shape, Kirei can help them create the perfect ceiling.”

Boasting an Array-NRC of 0.70, Kirei’s EchoSky Neu is made from 60% recycled post-consumer plastics, so designers can be sure that every product they specify diverts plastic bottles from the waste stream. It meets and exceeds CDPH standards for VOC emissions, is Red List Free, and carries a Declare label. EchoSky Neu is inherently Class A fire-rated, with HPD and EPD documentation available, and qualifies for LEED and WELL building credits. Kirei products allow for custom cutting, are available in over 35 through-panel PET colors, and can be custom-printed with Kirei Ink, an in-house printing service offering remarkably realistic quality. EchoSky Neu also ships flat and assembles on-site, helping to reduce the carbon footprint.
Since 2002, Kirei has transformed recycled materials into architectural elements that are elegant, functional, and easy to specify. Recently receiving B Corp Certification, for architects and interior designers, this means more than recognition—it affirms Kirei as a trusted partner. By delivering high-performance acoustic solutions with verified positive impact, Kirei helps design professionals to meet sustainability goals, satisfy client demands, and uphold their own ethical design values without compromises.
