The Splash Lab Unveils LumaShelf Restroom Innovation

The Splash Lab, a leading global producer of innovative commercial restroom products, announces today the launch of the Lumashelf. Made in the USA, the Lumashelf is a fully
integrated, pre-assembled, sleek, and intuitive handwashing system designed for high-traffic public restrooms, available in a range of premium finishes. With Danish-inspired curves and a floating design, it is more sculpture than sink – adding style to every restroom visit.

“At The Splash Lab, we believe that restrooms are more than just a utilitarian space; they’re considered areas for design, product innovation, and modular versatility,” said CEO Justin Lovell. “Since our inception, we’ve led with a future-oriented vision and the goal of addressing the multi-uses of the restroom and improving the restroom experience.”
Unlike comparable products on the market, which still require separate specifications, the Lumashelf is a system so well thought-out that it practically installs itself. All components arrive preinstalled and factory-tested, effectively eliminating onsite surprises. Plumbing, electrical, drainage, soap reservoirs, and optional air dryer motors are pre-fastened to the frame, so there’s no need to specify or install separate fixtures.

Lumashelf provides a seamless experience for end users, and at the core of its intuitive design is illumination. The designers at The Splash Lab aimed to light the way to better handwashing – the Lumashelf system makes any restroom an inviting space by using soft strip lighting and illuminated, universal, easy-to-understand icons for wash-and-dry zones. A shelf for personal items makes the handwashing experience pleasant, hygienic, and efficient for on-the-go users.
“With the Lumashelf, our challenge was to design a unified solution that integrates function and form, improves installability, simplifies maintenance, and enhances intuitiveness for the end user,” said Leendert Tange, Creative Director of The Splash Lab and designer of the Lumashelf.

Available with additional components, including Lumabin and Lumamirror
Streamlined installation: Pre-assembled and factory-tested before shipping, the Lumashelf takes just two people and under half a day to install.

Consistent ADA-compliance: The frame and sink are sized with a 4″ sink depth to give contractors 1″ tolerance to maintain ADA-compliance when installing.
Sustainability and “futureproof” design: The Lumashelf’s LEED-compliant materials, energy-efficient components, and modular construction are designed for longevity and responsible replacement.

Engineered for user experience: A sleek, sculptural design, complemented by warm lighting and illuminated guide icons, enhances the sensory experience.
Ease of maintenance: Front-access panels and a top-fill soap tank offer ergonomic benefits to facility staff, increasing the product’s longevity potential and setting a new bar for ease and comfort of maintenance.
