Zurich Vet Named Head of Construction Professional Liability

Marty Andrejko, a veteran of Zurich North America, returns as Head of Construction Professional Liability, effective May 27. Andrejko will report to Head of Construction Tobias “Toby” Cushing at Zurich, a leading provider of insurance and risk management solutions to general contractors, trade contractors and other businesses involved in commercial construction, as well as businesses in other wide-ranging industries.

Andrejko most recently served as Managing Director of Construction Professional Liability at Aon. In his new role, he will lead Zurich’s Construction Professional Liability underwriting team. He will be responsible for developing and executing multidimensional strategies to drive portfolio growth and help achieve Zurich North America’s financial targets for Construction, which is part of Zurich’s Specialties business unit led by Kelly Kinzer.

Andrejko’s more than 35 years of industry experience include leadership roles at Convex, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and AXA XL, as well as a nearly eight-year tenure at Zurich.

“Marty’s strong relationships with retail and E&S [Excess and Surplus] brokers, along with his reputation as a subject matter expert in construction professional liability, are invaluable assets to our team,” Cushing said. “His deep knowledge of our organization and the industry will enable him to make an immediate and meaningful impact.”

Earlier in his career, Andrejko held a variety of geologist roles and state certifications. He remains a member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering Geology from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from Lehigh University.

He will be based in Philadelphia.
