VEGA Americas, Inc. and Command Alkon have announced a new integration aimed at improving inventory visibility and material management in the heavy building materials industry. The collaboration brings VEGA’s in-plant measurement technologies into Command Alkon’s Connected Partner program, aligning both companies around shared goals of streamlining operations and enhancing decision-making.
Through the partnership, VEGA’s sensor and measurement devices will integrate with Command Alkon’s Material Supply application, a solution powered by the Command Cloud platform. This cloud-native technology supports real-time tracking of heavy building materials across production sites, helping operators manage supply and demand more effectively.
A key feature of the integration is the ability to feed real-time silo measurement data directly into Material Supply. With more accurate insights into material levels, producers can plan more efficiently, avoid stockouts or overstocking, and reduce waste across multiple facilities.
VEGA’s Technology Manager Shaun Pogue emphasized the benefits of real-time stock visibility at the plant level, noting its potential to enhance operational efficiency. Chris Strickland, Senior Vice President of Strategy at Command Alkon, added that the integration helps eliminate data gaps and supports tighter control of inbound materials used in production.
The collaboration reflects broader trends in the construction and materials industries, where digital tools and connected systems are playing a growing role in optimizing supply chains and plant performance.
