DLR Group Names Kim Smith National Healthcare BD Leader

DLR Group has appointed Kim Smith as Senior Associate and National Healthcare Business Development Leader. Based in our Las Vegas office, Smith will lead our healthcare initiatives and strategic efforts within the national healthcare practice.

Smith brings extensive experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships and high-level relationships in the healthcare sector. Her background includes a focus on critical areas such as patient safety, privacy, infection control, and staff maintenance requirements. Smith’s dedication to enhancing the healthcare environment aligns perfectly with DLR Group’s mission to elevate the human experience through design.

Smith’s professional background includes leading healthcare initiatives and strategic efforts within the National region. In her previous role as a business development leader for healthcare at Construction Specialties, Inc., she was responsible for promoting interior product solutions to architects, designers, contractors, and hospital end users. Smith worked closely with healthcare partners to understand their interior space needs, focusing on critical areas such as patient safety, privacy, infection control, and staff maintenance requirements.

Smith’s professional journey is also fueled by her personal experience with a family member battling Alzheimer’s, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by patients, families, and healthcare partners. She leverages her expertise in healthcare business development to build trust and provide solutions that improve the overall patient and human experience.
